3. Natureza da versão beta

  1. copiar, distribuir, publicar, vender, alugar, emprestar ou sublicenciar o instalador, o Software ou partes dele;
  2. compartilhar o seu serial, publicá-lo ou permitir que terceiros o usem;
  3. contornar, desativar ou interferir na verificação de licença, no limite de máquinas ou em qualquer proteção técnica do Software;
  4. fazer engenharia reversa, descompilar, desmontar ou extrair o código-fonte do Software, exceto na medida em que a lei aplicável permita expressamente;
  5. modificar o Software ou criar obras derivadas dele, ou usá-lo para desenvolver um produto concorrente;

A exclusão encerra a licença beta.

7. Confidencialidade

12.2. Se alguma cláusula for considerada inválida, as demais continuam valendo.

12.5. Contato: lucas@oceanoazulfilmes.com.

Lux Studio Beta License Agreement

Version 1.0 · October 14, 2026
Please read carefully. By installing, activating or using the Lux Studio beta, you confirm that you have read and accept this agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.

1. Parties

Licensor: Oceano Azul Filmes, CNPJ 21.024.695/0001-11, based in Catalão, Goiás, Brazil, represented by Lucas França, creator of Lux Studio, e-mail lucas@oceanoazulfilmes.com, owner of the rights to Lux Studio (the “Author”).

Licensee: the individual or company that received a beta serial from the Author (the “Tester”), identified in the acceptance below or in the e-mail that delivered the serial.

2. Grant

2.1. The Author grants the Tester a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable and temporary license to install and use the beta version of Lux Studio (the desktop application, the editor, the manual, and the “LF Moho to Lottie” script and other exporters that come with it, together the “Software”), under this agreement.

2.2. This license is not a sale. No rights are granted beyond those written here.

2.3. The license is granted under one of two plans, stated to the Tester when the serial is sent or at purchase:

  1. Free trial: no payment, for the period stated by the Author. When the period ends, the serial stops working unless the Tester buys a subscription.
  2. Subscription: paid, for the period purchased (for example, monthly or yearly), with the price, payment method and renewal terms stated in the offer.

2.4. With a subscription, the Tester may cancel renewal at any time by e-mail to lucas@oceanoazulfilmes.com; access continues until the end of the period already paid. Price changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance and apply from the next renewal.

2.5. For purchases made online, a consumer Tester may withdraw within 7 days of acceptance or of the first payment, with a full refund (article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code).

3. Beta nature

3.1. The Tester acknowledges that the Software is a test version still under development and may contain bugs, crash, lose or corrupt files, produce different results between versions, and have features changed or removed without notice.

3.2. THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, including continuous operation, freedom from errors, compatibility with any version of Moho, Toon Boom Harmony or the operating system, or fitness for a particular purpose.

3.3. The Tester should keep backups of their files (Moho projects, animations, .lux and .llx files, renders) before and during use.

4. Permitted use

4.1. The Tester may use the Software to evaluate, test and produce images and animations, including commercial work, at their own risk.

4.2. Images, videos, projects and other files the Tester creates with the Software belong to the Tester. The Author claims no rights over them.

5. Restrictions

Without the Author’s written permission, the Tester may not:

  1. copy, distribute, publish, sell, rent, lend or sublicense the installer, the Software or any part of it;
  2. share or publish their serial or let anyone else use it;
  3. bypass, disable or interfere with the license check, the machine limit or any technical protection of the Software;
  4. reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or extract the source code of the Software, except to the extent expressly allowed by applicable law;
  5. modify the Software, create derivative works of it, or use it to build a competing product;
  6. remove or change authorship notices, marks or credits in the Software.

6. Serial, activation and data

6.1. The serial is personal and may be limited to a number of computers. The Author may deactivate a serial if this agreement is breached or when the beta period ends.

6.2. To activate and check the license, the Software connects to the internet and may send to the license server: the serial, a random identifier created at installation, the Software version, the computer name, and the operating system name and version. This data is used only to validate the license, enforce the machine limit and provide support.

6.3. The Software does not send the content of your projects, animations or renders to the Author. Files reach the Author only if the Tester sends them (for example, when reporting a bug).

6.4. Personal data is handled under Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018). The Tester may request access to, correction or deletion of their data at lucas@oceanoazulfilmes.com. Deletion ends the beta license.

7. Confidentiality

7.1. Features not yet publicly announced, test builds, serials and technical information received from the Author are confidential.

7.2. The Tester may publicly show work they created with the Software (final images and videos). To publish screenshots, interface videos, comparisons or reviews of the Software during the beta, the Tester must ask the Author, who may grant permission by e-mail.

7.3. The confidentiality obligation ends when the Author makes the information public or two years after this agreement ends, whichever comes first.

8. Feedback

8.1. The Tester is invited, but not required, to report bugs and send suggestions.

8.2. By sending suggestions, ideas or reports, the Tester allows the Author to use them freely to improve the Software, without payment or obligation to give credit. Sample files sent by the Tester will be used only for internal testing and will not be disclosed without permission.

9. Intellectual property

9.1. The Software, its code, interface, manual, the name “Lux Studio”, icons and other elements belong to the Author and are protected by Brazilian Law 9.609/1998 (Software Law) and Law 9.610/1998 (Copyright Law) and by international treaties.

9.2. Third-party components included in the Software (such as Electron and FFmpeg) are governed by their own licenses, which come with the installer. The restrictions in section 5 do not apply to those components to the extent their licenses grant rights to the user.

10. Liability

10.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Author is not liable for loss of data, files, deadlines, profits or opportunities, or for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Software.

10.2. If any liability is found, it is limited to the amount the Tester paid the Author for the license in the 12 months before the event (zero for a free trial), except in cases of willful misconduct or where the law provides otherwise.

11. Term, updates and termination

11.1. This agreement is effective from acceptance until the end of the beta period announced by the Author, or until a final version is released, whichever comes first.

11.2. The Author may send new beta builds. Each new build follows this agreement unless another text is announced.

11.3. The Author may end the license at any time with notice by e-mail, or immediately in case of breach. The Tester may end it at any time by uninstalling the Software (for a subscription, also cancelling renewal as in section 2.4). If the Author ends a subscription without a breach by the Tester, the Author will refund the unused part of the period paid.

11.4. On termination, the Tester must stop using the beta Software. Files created by the Tester remain theirs. Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 survive termination.

11.5. Taking part in the beta does not entitle the Tester to a free license, discount or access to final versions, unless offered in writing by the Author.

12. General

12.1. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of Catalão, Goiás, Brazil, have jurisdiction, except where the law gives a consumer Tester the right to the courts of their own domicile.

12.2. If any clause is held invalid, the others remain in effect.

12.3. This agreement may be updated. The current version is published on this page, with the date at the top. Relevant changes will be announced by e-mail.

12.4. If the Portuguese and English versions differ, the Portuguese version prevails.

12.5. Contact: lucas@oceanoazulfilmes.com.
